East Lake maintains stranglehold on No. 1 in Pinellas volleyball super 7 (with stats)

Pinellas Super 7
Records through Tuesday

1. East Lake (12-1): Eagles have won 11 straight and appear to be getting better as the season wears on.

2. Clearwater Central Catholic (12-0): The only undefeated area team left, the Marauders will be challenged at the Tampa Bay Invitational this weekend.

3. Tarpon Springs (14-1): The Spongers won another five-setter against Mitchell and continue to play well in the clutch.

4. Countryside (14-4): Won a hard-fought five-setter last week against a pretty good Seminole team.

5. St. Petersburg (13-3): Green Devils have won seven straight matches, losing only one game during that stretch.

6. Clearwater (9-5): After starting slowly, the Tornadoes have figured things out and won seven straight.

7. Indian Rocks Christian (11-6): A tough loss to Academy of the Holy Names was followed by a sweep of Seffner Christian.
