East Lake's Cody Carden signed his letter of intent to play basketball at Webber International during a ceremony at the Varsity Club on Thursday.

Carden, who transferred from Clearwater, helped the Eagles reach the playoffs as the Class 7A, District 9 runnerup this past season. In the Pinellas Senior All-Star game, he scored a team-high 22 for the North squad.

Carden's older brothers, Cam and Cory, both were county standouts who played in college. Cam , who led Pinellas Park to the region final, played at Lincoln Memorial, a Division III program. Cory, a Clearwater graduate, played at Division II Dallas Baptist.
