East Lake OL Collin Cole has committed to Division I-AA Presbyterian, Eagles coach Bob Hudson said Monday night.

Cole visited the school over the weekend.

“He thought it was a good fit,” Hudson said. “He liked the campus and it’s a real good private school. It’s also an up-and-coming program.”

Cole didn’t start until his senior season at East Lake, but became a major contributor.

The 6-foot-4, 285-pound standout anchored an offensive line that helped pave the way for RB Jamaal Wilburn to rush for more than 1,000 yards.

Cole is Presbyterian’s second Tampa Bay commitment.

Dunedin QB Ryan Singer pledged there last fall.

Cole had no other offers, but Jacksonville State, a solid I-AA program that nearly knocked off Florida State in 2009, also showed interest.
