East Lake shortstop Hayley Davis, fresh off the Eagles run to the Class 5A state softball semifinals, has orally committed to the University of Alabama at Birmingham according to Eagles head coach Mike Estes.

Davis was one of East Lake's leading hitters, batting .369 as the Eagles cleanup hitter for most of the season. She drove in 18 runs and hit two home runs. She also led the Eagles with five doubles.

Davis made just one error defensively through 26 games played.
