East Lake’s Mason Cole and Artavis Scott, two of the area’s top recruits in the 2014 class, have each received an invitation to play in next year's U.S. Army All-American Game, Eagles coach Bob Hudson confirmed Tuesday.
Cole, a 6-foot-5, 280 pound left tackle, is the Times' top recruit among rising seniors. On Monday, he committed to Michigan.
Scott is a four-star receiver with offers from several big-time schools including Florida, FSU and Michigan. Last season, Scott had 995 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns.
Along with the Under Armour All-American Game, which has been played in St. Petersburg the past three years, the U.S. Army game is one of the major showcase games for high school seniors.
