East Lake's Torres signs with FSU

East Lake swimmer Katie Torres signed with Florida State last week.

Torres picked the Seminoles over Florida Gulf Coast, Florida International, Harvard and Tampa. This past season, Torres was a district and regional champion in the 100 breast stroke and finished sixth in her signature event at the Class 3A state meet.

She also was a two-time captain and holds the school record in the breast stroke.
