ESPNU released its updated team football recruiting rankings for the Class of 2010 today and the Florida Gators are No. 1.
The Gators’ class thus far includes 15 commits, two of whom are from the Tampa Bay area -- Gulf TE/DL Leon Orr and Blake TE/DE Michael McFarland.
The 6-foot-5, 315-pound Orr is a member of the ESPNU 150. ESPNU rates him as the country’s fifth-best DT prospect. Orr currently has a fractured lower leg and is out indefinitely.
McFarland, who is 6-5, 230 pounds, is the lowest-rated member of the Florida class according to ESPNU, but he is believed to have a high upside.
Of the group of recruits as a whole, ESPNU writes: “The rich get richer in Gainesville.”
