Former Land O’Lakes thrower Reta Woodard earned an NAIA title earlier this month at the indoor national championships.

The Embry-Riddle sophomore claimed the women’s weight throw championship with a toss of 18.50 meters – good enough for a victory by 0.68 meters. Her school-record performance helped the Eagles tie for fourth place as a team with Shorter.

Woodard was an all-North Suncoast track star in high school. She placed in the top five at state in the discus and shot put for the Gators in 2009.
