Former Gulf quarterback Will Fulmer has transferred to Hudson, according to Cobras coach Justin Fenton.
"I know in scouting and coaching against Will, he's a heck of an athlete and he's been coached well," Fenton said. "If he's willing to come in and work hard, he can no doubt be a huge help to us this season. I know in coaching against his father (former Gulf coach Jay Fulmer), that he ran some very good and complex offenses and I'm sure Will has learned plenty from him."
In his sophomore season last fall, Fulmer threw for 487 yards, completing 29-of-83 pass attempts with four touchdowns and five interceptions. The 6-foot-2 junior's best game came in a 26-20 win over River Ridge, when he completed 8-of-25 passes for 131 yards and a score.
"I'm just happy he has a team and place to go and play the game I know he's good at," Jay Fulmer said. "It's good to know he can now go to practice and build some good relationships with his new teammates."
