Former Land O'Lakes quarterback Stevie Weatherford, who redshirted this fall at Cincinnati, is no longer part of the Bearcats football program, a school spokesman confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

Weatherford did not travel with the Bearcats for their bowl game and is no longer enrolled in classes at Cincinnati. He signed with Cincinnati last year after initially committing to USF. Cincinnati's compliance office is not aware of him transferring to any other school yet. He would have to sit out a year if he transferred to a I-A program, or could transfer to a I-AA program this summer with a full four years of eligibility.

Weatherford’s high school career ended early when he was suspended for throwing a bottle in the school commons. One school official said he had statements from others that the bottle contained alcohol. He had also been arrested in 2010 on felony charges of burglary and grand theft.
