Former Lennard coach George Edington, who resigned in November after guiding the Longhorns program four seasons, has joined James Harrell's overhauled offensive staff at Jesuit.
Harrell said Edington, who employed the wing-T at Lennard, will assist former University of Florida and NFL RB James Jones with the running game. Harrell said the Tigers will continue operating primarily out of a pro-style look, but Edington's wing-T background "gives us the option of being multiple."
Edington, 14-25 in four seasons at Lennard, joins Jones and 1986 Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde, the passing game coordinator, on Jesuit's offensive staff. Ty Alvarez, last year's offensive coordinator, stepped down earlier this year to join Hillsborough's staff.
