Former Clearwater Central Catholic volleyball coach Andrew Wilson has been hired for the same job at Tampa Prep, Terrapins athletic director Mike Flynn announced Friday.

An East Lake alumnus, Wilson replaces Jessica Lamm, who resigned after one season to become coach at Plant.

"We are fortunate to have Coach Wilson at the helm of our volleyball program," Flynn, himself a former Terps volleyball coach, said in a news release. "Between his knowledge of the game and his ability to relate to and lead young people, we are confident that Tampa Prep's volleyball program is in great hands."

Wilson brings 13 years of prep and club-level coaching experience to the downtown Tampa private school, which has won 15 state titles. In 2008, he was named USA Volleyball Florida Region Outstanding Juniors coach for the 16-under division.

His lone team at CCC, the 2009 squad, finished 13-14.
