Former Zephyrhills quarterback Chris Reaves has signed to play football at College of the Sequoias, Reaves said Thursday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound athlete said he chose the California junior college because most of its players advance to major-college programs.
“That’s really what I kind of hope – to go to a D-I,” Reaves said.
He will likely play receiver, where he spent a few games last fall. Reaves turned in one of the North Suncoast’s top performances last year with a seven-touchdown effort against Anclote in the Bulldogs’ final district game.
