Dunedin WR/DB Nathan Diehl knows he’s going to play in college. He just doesn’t know where or at what level yet.

Diehl is hoping to land at a Division I-AA or D-II program.

And in a perfect world, that school would be relatively close to home.

Thus far, he has been offered a chance to play at D-II Merrimack College (Mass.) and D-III Case Western Reserve University (Ohio). Wingate, a D-II program in North Carolina, wants him to make a visit.

“I haven’t really narrowed anything down yet,” Diehl said. “I’m trying to get more attention.”

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Diehl admittedly doesn’t have flashy stats (22 catches for 200 yards and one TD), but thinks he would be an asset to a I-AA or D-II program because of his versatility.

“I play on offense, defense and all the special teams,” Diehl said. “I even fill in on the scout team at running back.”

Not only that, but Diehl has a 3.7 GPA.
