Reports Tuesday by Warhchant.com that Tampa Catholic QB Christian Green, who will play WR in college, had dropped Florida and is down to Florida State and Georgia are true, his father said today.
“It’s between those two,” Hiram Green said.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Green is rated by Rivals.com as a four-star prospect and is a member of the Rivals 100, a list of the country’s top recruits.
He will make an official visit to FSU this weekend.
Eliminating the Gators, whom he visited two weeks ago, wasn’t easy.
“They’re an excellent program,” Hiram Green said. “They’ve got an excellent coaching staff and (head coach) Urban Meyer is a first-class person. It was tough for (Christian).”
Now, Green’s attention has turned to FSU.
“It’s important to him to see FSU,” Hiram Green said. “They’re building back up again under coach (Jimbo) Fisher. He’s excited to go in there and be around the players. He’ll spend the weekend asking questions to the guy who doesn’t play and to the guy who plays a lot.”
Meantime, Georgia remains very much in the picture.
“No question they have a legitimate shot,” Hiram Green said.
