Mansie Hough may be officially listed as an outside hitter, but for the Canterbury Crusaders, she is so much more.

She is a great server, a relentless defender, and oftentimes a contortionist who twists and turns and does whatever it takes to get
the ball back over the net.

The Crusaders (27-6) have never been past the region quarterfinals, but this season Hough helped carry them over the line. She had 16
kills in a win over Cambridge Christian, the team that had ended Canterbury's season the past four trips to the postseason, and in the
region championship against West Palm Beach Summitt Christian she added 22 more.

"Coach told us every day after practice that he thought we had enough talent to make it to state this year,'' Hough said. "We knew we could do it.''
