Female Athlete of the Week: CCC's Lindsey Cooper

Clearwater Central Catholic senior Lindsey Cooper's senior soccer season may have ended a little prematurely, but it wasn't without some stellar highlights.

Last week alone, Cooper, a University of Florida commit, scored 10 goals as CCC beat four opponents by a combined score of 23-2 -- a performance that nabbed her Times' athlete of the week honors. Unfortunately Cooper injured her ankle in a game against district foe St. Petersburg Catholic, sidelining her for this week's district tourney.

Cooper finished with 22 goals and 15 assists on the season.
