St. Petersburg Catholic left tackle Reilly Gibbons won the big man race at Duke on Saturday, and that was more than enough to convince the Blue Devils to offer the 6-foot-5, 260-pound Baron.
Gibbons impressed at the Durham camp and added to his already-impressive ledger of offers, which includes Virginia and West Virginia (picked up in the last week), Nebraska, USF and Tennesse.
Gibbons also participated in a grueling camp at South Carolina on Friday and hopes an offer from the Gamecocks is on the horizon.
The converted tight end will head west next. Friday, Gibbons and his family will be visiting Stanford for that school's Friday Night Lights, and then will drive down for a stop at USC and San Diego State. Monte Kiffin is believed to be very interested in Gibbons, having seen and spoken to him on previous visits to SPC.
