Fivay, set to open this fall, has 57 applicants for its head football coaching position.

The locals include Chris Taylor (Ridgewood), Gary Allen (River Ridge), Tim White (Land O'Lakes), Bryan McKelvy (Rushe Middle) James Booth (Hudson Middle), Greg Dew (Paul R. Smith Middle), Ron Johnson (USF), Cliff Lohrey (former Central coach), Bill Schmitz (former Jesuit coach).

Fivay principal Angie Stone said in an email she would interview 16 applicants. Many of the 57 are from out of state though a complete list was not available as of press time.
