Fivay volleyball takes second in Orlando tournament

Fivay returned home with a runner-up finish in the 16-team Orlando Volleyball Academy showcase tournament over the weekend.

The Falcons earned wins over Belleview, Auburndale, Tavares and Titusville before falling to Satellite (25-23, 21-25, 15-13) in the final. It was the first loss of the season for Fivay (9-1).

Sophomore Jordyn Mattos led the Falcons with 96 assists, and senior libero Toni Imbimbo finished with 46 digs, 27 kills and 15 aces. Other notable performers included Ashleigh Nemetz (eight blocks, 22 kills), Courtney Costa (40 digs) and Briannah Nemetz (33 kills).
