Mark Wise, color commentator for the Gator Radio Network, was on press row during Tampa Catholic’s 65-53 win over Tallahassee Rickards in the Class 3A semifinals Wednesday at the Lakeland Center. Wise will be part of the crew that broadcasts the 3A final Thursday on Sun Sports. Here are his thoughts about TC:

-“They’re a well-balanced and well-coached team. They run a lot of neat stuff, a lot of sets.”

-“I think (point guard Meghan Keough) makes them go.”

-“You’ve got the two scoring wings … (Sarah Brennan), who slashes, and the other kid (Colette Eule). Those two can score and (Keough) makes it all come together. When she got tired at the end of the first half, that’s when the other team got back into it.”

-“(Keough) is fairly athletic at the point and (Brennan) is extremely athletic.”

-“(Forward Kai Jones) knows her role. She gets rebounds and garbage points. They’re a team that understands their roles.”

-“They do a nice job of spacing in the half court.”
