Florida Gators offer St. Petersburg Catholic LT Reilly Gibbons

Reilly Gibbons, ranked No. 7 in the class of 2014 by the Times, picked up arguably his biggest offer to date when Florida Gators coach Will Muschamp verbally offered him Monday afternoon, said his father Shannon.

Gibbons, a 6-foot-6, 275-pound left tackle, adds the Gators offer to a collection of more than 20 from some of the country's biggest and best football schools.

After playing tight end his first two prep seasons, Gibbons made the transition to left tackle last season with success. Though still learning and growing, Gibbons was one of the top blockers in the area. He also recently competed at the Under Armour combine at Tropicana Field and fared well. 

Gibbons is currently playing basketball for the Barons, who start district tournament play next week.
