A year after Canterbury ruined Admiral Farragut's hopes of a district championship, the Blue Jackets got some revenge with a 35-0 shutout win Friday.
Running back Cortavious Givens, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in the Canterbury game last season, scored two touchdowns to lead AFA. Defensive back Will Anderson paced the defense with three interceptions.
“This has been in my mind for the whole year,” Givens said. “It was a great feeling. We weren’t able to do anything against them last year. It was nice being able to get in the end zone this year.”
Givens had little time to celebrate. He was off to Tallahassee at 4 a.m. today to take an unofficial visit to Florida State.
