Alonso gave itself a chance for a playoff berth with this victory.  Chris Oladokun threw for 300 yards and four scores, and Ish Witter and Brandon Robinson had two scores each.

The win kept the Ravens alive for second place in Class 8A, District 6, but to get into a three-way tiebreaker, they need Wharton to lose to Bloomingdale — and Alonso (5-3, 2-2) must beat Plant.

“It’ll be a fun game, Plant’s obviously still Plant,” Alonso coach Brian Emanuel said. “We put ourselves in this position with those two slip-ups against Newsome and Bloomingdale. I’d love to play those games again.”

Riverview fell to 2-6 overall, 0-4 in district.
