Coming off a 6-4 season, Alonso is looking for a new defensive coordinator.

Ravens coach Brian Emanuel said Tuesday he needs a replacement for Chuck McLeod, whom he said stepped away for time commitment reasons.

Emanuel, who also serves as Alonso’s offensive coordinator, said he would like a new coach in house by the new year. Last year, he was the only Ravens' football coach on the school’s faculty, so he said that having another coach on staff would be ideal, but not a requirement.

In Emanuel’s first season, the Ravens were one of the season’s early surprises.  Alonso started the season 5-0 but lost four of their last five games, including a 44-21 loss to district rival Wharton that cost Alonso a playoff spot.

Coaches interested in the position should contact Emanuel at (813) 679-9354.
