After a one-hour weather delay on the road, Berkeley Prep squeaked out a one-point win.
Lake Highland Prep came out strong in the second half, scoring on a kickoff return, turning a Berkeley Prep fumble into a field goal and notching a punt return touchdown for a 23-7 lead in the third quarter.
The Bucs rallied behind quarterback Brad Hayes, who threw a 44-yard touchdown to Bubba Olivera as the third quarter ended, then added a 10-yard TD run — set up when LHP fumbled the snap on a punt — to pull within 23-21.
Austin Iglehart’s 30-yard field goal with just over two minutes left iced it for the Bucs.
