After several narrow, heartbreaking losses, visiting  Berkeley was bound to have a good night and it did so at the expense of Bishop McLaughlin.

Berkeley might be a contender in most smaller-classification district but has suffered defeats in 3A-4 to Tampa Catholic, Fort Meade and Lakeland Christian by an average of just four points.

The Bucs are 3-4 overall but have scored 36 more points than they’ve allowed. Berkeley finishes up district play next week at Frostproof, which clinched the runnerup spot by beating Fort Meade 20-14 Friday. TC has secured the top spot.
