The Hurricanes opened with an impressive 15-point home win over Santa Fe Catholic.

Quarterback RJ Perciavalle rushed for two touchdowns and threw for two — a 20-yarder to senior Alex Stafford on the opening drive and another to William Potosky that opened up a 29-8 lead in the third quarter.

Stafford added a rushing touchdown on a 5-yard reverse to give the Hurricanes a 22-0 lead at halftime.

Bishop McLaughlin (1-0) also recorded a safety in the victory.
