Hoping to carry some momentum from last week’s win, Bradenton Christian couldn’t capitalize Friday night, falling 43-25 to Cambridge.

The Lancers got on the board frist with a touchdown pass from Philip Johnson to senior Damarcus Faison. Bradenton Christian’s offense slowly moved the ball down field on a combination of passes and rushing. A Lancers penalty brought the ball to the 20-yard line, but Bradenton Christian couldn’t capitalize, settling for a field goal.

On the next possession, Johnson found senior Christian Cooper wide open in the end zone for another Lancers touchdown. The Panthers fumbled the ball right back to Cambridge, which scored again thanks to a TD pass to Faison.

“Cambridge Christian did a better job of executing,” Bradenton Christian coach Allan Gerber said. “Hats off to Coach (Bob) Dare and his kids. They played a real solid game.”
