The visiting Tigers, coming off of a 7-3 season, lost their opener.

Jesuit fumbled the ball away three times, one that was returned for a touchdown by host Hardee in the Wildcats' 28-10 victory.

"I don't think they were that much better than us," said Jesuit coach Matt Thompson. "We could've won the game, but it's hard to say we should've when you make that many mistakes."

Jesuit's lone touchdown came on a pass from Vincent Testaverde to Christian Williams. Rhett Waldron booted a 42-yard field goal for the Tigers' other score.
