The Golden Eagles, who have clinched the 2A-5 title, used the game to work on their passing. IRC quarterback Garrett Ross-Johnson was 14-of-20 for 300 yards and five touchdowns.

His favorite target was Damien King, who had five catches for 191 yards and four scores.

“We wanted to pass a little more and give Garrett some confidence because we’ll need his arm more once we get into the playoffs,” Golden Eagles coach Mark Buchanan said.
