Jefferson junior quarterback Quentin Williams enters tonight's regular-season finale against Middleton with a chance to set a new school mark for touchdown passes in a season.

Williams has 27 touchdown passes this season, two shy of former Dragons standout and current South Carolina starting quarterback Stephen Garcia, who threw 29 touchdowns his senior season.

Williams -- who has received a scholarship offer from FIU and has received recent interest from Florida State, according to Dragons coach Mike Fenton -- owns 43 career touchdowns passes. Garcia owned the county career touchdown mark with 83 until former Plant quarterback Aaron Murray bested him by one touchdown passes with 84 last season.

The Dragons (7-1) will host Land O'Lakes (8-1) in the Class 3A region quarterfinals a week from today.
