Wesley Chapel (0-2) remained winless in a tough road loss to Lecanto (2-0).

The Wildcats struck first, when Eric Bennett returned an interception for a touchdown but couldn’t reach the end zone the rest of the game.

The Wildcats allowed a touchdown midway through the second quarter and lost a fumble to set up a Lecanto field goal.

Wesley Chapel lost two more fumbles in the third quarter and were driving in Lecanto territory with a chance to win the game. But the Wildcats threw an interception with one minute left to seal the defeat.
