Penalty flags were a big part of the game Friday night at the Shark Tank between two Class 5A, District 6 foes. Nature Coast captured the 34-0 shutout win over Central with yellow littering the field on nearly every snap.

Among the plays that were negated due to various penalties included an 80-yard touchdown run by Central tailback Robbie Bradley. He also had a 30-yard scamper called back.

Dealing with injuries to Smith (ribs) and starting quarterback Jamison Carnegie (ankle), the Sharks were still able to take control offensively. Nature Coast only scored once in the first half, a 1-yard run by C.J. Maner, but in the fourth quarter, the team exploded.

Twenty-four points were scored by Nature Coast, including two touchdowns on turnovers by Central. Quigley scored on a 1-yard sneak to open the quarter, and kicker Austin Lacy nailed his second field goal of the contest, a 32-yarder, to make it 20-0.

Only Bradley’s 19 carries for 103 yards were a bright spot for the Bears.
