Nature Coast returns to the field Friday in a critical battle against Tavares.

The Class 3A, District 6 game features the Sharks (2-1) against undefeated Tavares (3-0).

Of course, two questions linger: Will running back Tevin Drake play? And what is the status of C.J. Baker? Sharks coach Mark Lee said the team is coping with the flu - as is seemingly every other team the North Suncoast - and that a few players are "banged up."

In terms of Drake, Lee said, "Yes, he will play." Drake was suspended for the first half of the 7-6 loss to Crystal River last week, and he only managed 23 yards rushing.

Baker took more than 80 percent of the snaps last week, and his knee seems to be holding up. "He's understanding why I wanted to make sure that thing was 100 percent," Lee said of Baker's knee.
