Nature Coast and Hernando will tussle Friday in one of the biggest games Brooksville has ever seen. 

It's basically a playoff game with the winner advancing to the playoffs. The loser is out.

"I was talking to J.P. (Hernando coach John Palmer) and we were both wondering when a game between two Hernando teams ever meant so much," Nature Coast coach Mark Lee said.

The Sharks visit to Tom Fisher Stadium in a highly anticipated battle for the final playoff spot in Class 3A, District 6.

It also could signify a shift in county power, a market Nature Coast has dominated in recent season.

Nature Coast enters the week with a couple of questions concerning key players. Antwan and Ja'Juan Story both suffered injuries that kept them from practicing last week and playing in a 55-8 victory against Eustis.

Lee said their status this week has not been determined.

Ja'Juan is suffering from an ankle injury. Antwan has a foot injury.

Lee said he did not bench the Story brothers to save them for this week's matchup.

"We can't afford a slip," Lee said. "We can't take time off. There's no give me games. We want our best ones out there."
