After trailing by 14 at the end of the first quarter, host Newsome stormed back Friday with 42 unanswered points to defeat East Bay 49-21.
Newsome coach Kenneth Hiscock made a few personnel switches after the first quarter — “We put in the kids executing the game plan, because it works,” he said — and the Wolves (2-2, 1-0) were able to both stop the Indians (2-2, 0-1) and run their wing-T offense to perfection.
Keller Powers, Clint Carnell and Will Worth reached the end zone for the Newsome.
