Northeast started fast then held for its second straight victory in Class 7A, District 9.

Auggie Sanchez ran 5 yards for a score and threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Brajon Ellison to give Northeast a 14-0 lead. Clearwater scored with about six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

Sanchez finished with 198 yards rushing and was 2-for-3 for 24 yards passing. He was just as dominant on defense with 10 tackles, including one for loss, and a sack. Keith Harrington had 98 yards rushing for the Vikings.
