Pasco's Brennan Allen was riding in a car Monday afternoon still soaking in his dream trip to Atlanta.

The dream? An opportunity to compete in a kicking camp with a chance gain some college exposure. The reality? Allen won Sunday's Chris Sailer Kicking and Punting Nike Fall Camp in Atlanta, which required him to show off his kickoff, punting and field goal skills.

The prize is a hotel room and waived entry fee to another camp next month in Las Vegas. Allen hopes the camps can gain him enough visibility to make it onto a college roster.

Allen advanced to the second round thanks to his kickoff abilities registering the longest distance and greatest hang time. To make it to the finals, Allen kicked a 45 yard field goal. That beat out a punter, who failed to kick two of his three punts with qualifying hang time and distance.

Allen won the competition after booting a 50-yard field goal.

Allen was able to make the trip after the Kiwanis Club of Dade City paid for the $350 camp.

Allen said prior to the camp he has received interest from Florida International and a community college in Iowa. Allen said he spoke with an N.C. State assistant and hopes to continue those conversations this week.

Allen made seven field goals and kicked 37 touchbacks for the Pirates.
