PINELLAS PARK — In a game delayed twice by weather, Pinellas Park overwhelmed Gibbs 40-6.

Gibbs turned over the ball six times, which led to four touchdowns for Pinellas Park.

The Gladiators (0-2) overcame a fumble on the opening kickoff when they stopped the Patriots on downs inside the 5 yard. But they were forced to punt, and it took Pinellas Park just four plays to score. A 32-yard completion from Angel Addison to Jalil Crapps gave the Patriots first and goal.

The Patriots (2-0) racked up 305 yards on the ground. Donte Maxson and Oscee Calhoun each had a pair of touchdown runs. Kel-El Williams opened the scoring with a 2-yard run in the first quarter.

Rain delayed the contest by about 20 minutes. With 1:48 left in the first quarter, lightning delayed the game by another 35 minutes. Calhoun had just scored from 3 yards to give Pinellas Park a 20-0 lead.
