The Raiders (5-2) stepped out of district and the results were predictable — the team was flat at the start but eventually talent won out in a defeat of the winless Spartans.

“We can’t afford to be flat next week,” said Raider  coach Wayne Ward, referring to his team’s matchup with 7A-8 leaders Strawberry Crest.

Spoto led early and Friday’s game was tied at halftime but Hassan Bailey put the Raiders on top 14-7 with a touchdown and later Bailey caught a 60-yard score from Landon Galloway.  Running back Sterling Day also had two touchdowns.
