PLANT CITY — Plant City looked outstanding in all three phases as the Raiders clobbered visiting Wharton  on a misty night.

Plant City quarterback Landon Galloway had a hand in all three offensive touchdowns, running for one (3 yards) and throwing for two (10 and 43 yards). Both TD passes went to Tavares Chase, who hauled in the 43-yarder down the seam with one hand and dragged a defender 5 yards into the end zone.

“Oh man, I just scrambled out and saw he was open and threw it,” Galloway said. “I knew he was going to come down with it.”

Chase also flashed on defense with two interceptions. Reaquavious Young then intercepted a pass on a tipped ball and returned it 65 yards for the TD .

The Raiders (2-0) also hit two field goals and blocked two field goal tries by the Wildcats (1-1).

Wharton quarterback Chase Litton injured his right wrist when he slipped on the track surrounding the field near the end of the half. Litton left for a play and came back for one more before leaving the game for good.
