Plant standout running back/defensive end James Wilder Jr.'s spectacular postseason put the talented Plant junior on the national stage.

On Monday, Wilder received his second national honor. He was named to the MaxPreps 2002 High School Football All-American Team.

Wilder was a second-team defense selection as a defensive lineman. He was one of just eight juniors on the senior-dominated teams. He previously was named to the USA Today All-USA team, earning second-team honors as a linebacker.

Wilder had 19 sacks, 6 pass deflections and four forced fumbles.

Wilders, this season's Times All-Suncoast Defensive Player of the Year, led the Panthers to the Class 6A state title in December for Plant's third state crown in four years.
