The lights went out on the field in Kissimmee then Poinciana put out the lights for Central on the field, defeating the Bears 22-8 Friday night.
The Eagles (2-1) connected on a 70-yard touchdown on the first play from scrimmage and never looked back, jumping out 8-0 early.
Poinciana picked off Central quarterback Cole Teater and returned the pass 70 yards for a touchdown, and before the Bears (0-3) could blink, they were down 16-0.
Teater was benched in the first quarter, but Central committed its third turnover without him in the game before the quarter ended.
The bright side came from Robbie Bradley, who continued his strong season with a 10-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. Entering the half, Central had five turnovers.
As the teams traded punts in the third, the fourth opened with a power outage. Once the lights returned, Poinciana capped off the victory when Jonathan Lindstrom hit Joshua Lopez for their second score.
