TAMPA — With just five minutes remaining in the first quarter Friday night, storms rolled in, postponing Lennard at Robinson.

Robinson (4-0) led 7-0 at the time after a Zain Gilmore 47-yard completion to Martin Ruiz. The Knights picked up right where they left off Saturday morning, romping to a 63-6 victory.

On the Knights’ first possession of the day, Ruiz took the ball out to the right side to make the score 14-0. The Knights defense got the ball right back after their special teams rushed the punter, setting up first and goal from the Longhorns’ 10-yard line.

Gilmore and Ruiz were quite the tandem, hooking up for another TD. Ruiz finished with three scores, including a rushing touchdown. Gilmore finished 9-of-17 for 146 yards and three touchdowns.

Other highlights for Robinson: Nahshon Simmons returned an interception 4 yards for a score, and Javaughn Johnson scored on a fumble return. The Knights led 49-0 at halftime.

The Longhorns got on the board when Victor Williams took the ball on the outside for the 10-yard score.
