Seffner Christian was up 20-14 against Kissimmee Life Christian at halftime.
A second wind for the Crusaders made the final score 53-14.
“We didn’t really make any adjustments,” Seffner coach Steve Lewis said. “We just played harder.”
Seffner’s offense was aided by big plays from its defense and special teams units. Cornerback Brandon Ardley snagged three interceptions, and Aaron Evans blocked a punt that led to a Seffner score on the ensuing play.
“That took the wind right out of them,” Lewis said.
Lewis’ son, Seth, scored four touchdowns, including one on a fumble recovery.
