SEFFNER — Seffner Christian avenged last year’s loss to Masters Academy, winning  54-21 Friday night.

Senior Robbie Shell had a stellar night, scoring six touchdowns and rushing for 223 of his team’s 380 yards. Shell was backed up by senior quarterback Caleb Newman.

The Crusaders (2-0) were looking pretty even with the Eagles in the first quarter, leading 13-7, but they began to pull away in the second quarter with Shell running in three touchdowns — including a 75-yarder.

He was aided by linebackers Christian Becker and Trent Puleo, who both finished with 10 tackles.

Shell bagged another TD, along with senior Aaron Haynes, who scored on a 90-yard kickoff return to cap scoring.
