Weeki Wachee opened its second varsity season with a win on the road at Interlachen.

The Hornets jumped to a 14-0 lead early but stumbled in the second quarter after abandoning the run.

Weeki Wachee (1-0) recovered in the second half, scoring TDs in the third and fourth quarters to cruise to their second win over Interlachen.
Jon King had a touchdown catch and an interception and nearly scored on another run.

David Tinch threw for a touchdown and ran for another, and Shawn O’Gorman added a touchdown rush for the Hornets.

Fullback Devon Dupuis also ran for a touchdown before taking a hard hit and leaving the game.
