In Weeki Wachee’s first varsity campaign, the program accomplished many impressive feats Friday in front of the home crowd on senior night.

Weeki Wachee blew out Duval Charter 58-0 behind the efforts of a solid defense and the athleticism of Marcus Allen.

Allen, the sophomore quarterback, tossed three touchdowns and ran for another as the Hornets ran out to a big lead over the Panthers (1-8). He threw a 53-yard score to Jon King to start the game, and followed with a 14-yard touchdown scamper. The third Hornets’ score came on his 20-yard pass to Hiram Matos.

Weeki Wachee (3-6) couldn’t be stopped offensively as running back Jacob Cimino ran for more than 100 yards and scored a touchdown. Jacey Tarter hit pay dirt twice on the ground as well.

The fireworks didn’t end until Willie Peterman burst into the end zone late in the second half on a 1-yard run. David Tinch kicked his seventh extra point to go with one 38-yard field goal to cap scoring.
