Former Bogie standout sets record at Louisiana Tech

Former Boca Ciega standout guard Kenneth Smith is now a record holder at Louisiana Tech.

Smith, a freshman for the Bulldogs, set a school record with 15 assists in his team's 84-62 win over Central Arkansas on Saturday. The previous record of 14 assists has stood at the school since 1969.

Smith has played in all 27 games this season for the Bulldogs (13-14) and leads the team with 115 assists (4.2 per game). He also averages 3.4 points per game.
